I know you have many options for counselors in the Portland area, and want you to choose the one who is right for you. The therapeutic relationship between client and counselor is critical,
and you should feel safe and respected. I honor your values, views, experiences, and goals, and I will make every effort to develop a true understanding of your needs.
I will work to build an individualized treatment plan in collaboration with you, so you can get the most from our time together. I believe it is not enough to know or talk about your problems but that research driven treatments need to be administered and actions taken outside of therapy sessions for problems to get better. I monitor treatment carefully through regular testing and assessment to make sure it is working and adjust methodologies if necessary.
I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), registered with the state of Oregon. I conduct myself and my services in accordance with the ethics and guidelines set forth from the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, as well as the ACA Ethical Code of the Oregon Counseling Association and the American Counseling Association. I am also a member of the ACA. I have a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacific University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Business Administration from UCLA. In addition to my education and clinical training, I have significant and varied professional and life experiences to draw on in service of the needs of my clients.
